A multi-instrumental musician and producer, Doug Fischer stepped behind the decks and into the DJ world on December 31, 2010. Having been exposed to a wide variety of music by his parents at an early age, Doug showed an enthusiasm and inclination for music and performance. As an instrumentalist playing trombone, keyboards, and percussion, Doug has performed and recorded with diverse groups spanning the genres of jazz, soul, rock n' roll, funk, Latin music, indie rock, and art pop. He has shared the stage with Broadway stars and performers as a drummer for Broadway In South Africa.
Originally from South Florida, an internship at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts brought Doug to New York City in 2008. Soon after, Doug was producing soulful hip-hop beats and collaborating with comedic actors to create content for Details Magazine and the Tracy Letts play Superior Donuts. After agreeing to DJ a New Years Eve party in Williamsburg, Doug found himself guiding the flow of energy on the dance floor to a packed room of bouncing heads, shaking hips, and pumping fists. Since then, Doug has kept crowds entertained as he continues to expand his DJ resume to include numerous NYC clubs, bars, and venues, including The Ritz Carlton, The Metropolitan Building, The Harvard Club of NYC, The Yale Club of NYC, The Green Building, The Museum of Arts & Design, Galapagos Art Space, The Brick Theater, and more.
